There were 18 members in attendance at our October gathering and the main topic was the Chapter Christmas Party. This years party will be held December 3rd at the Kyger Creek Employees Club. We will need help decorating the build on Friday evening December 2nd.

The Kids Christmas Party will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 3rd and Santa is scheduled to arrive around 2:00 PM. We will have hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks for the kids. For your child or grandchild to receive a gift from Santa you will need to sneak in a gift for each of the children you bring. Santa will then distribute those gifts to the child on the gift tag. Please make sure you have each gift marked clearly to whom it is to go to. Please try to limit the gift to around $10 or $20, please don’t bring real expensive gifts for your children.

The Adult party will begin with dinner at 6:00 PM, the chapter will furnish the ham and chicken strips, rolls and dinnerware. Everyone will need to bring a covered dish (with something in it). The chapter Christmas party will end at 8:00 PM, there will be a live band from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM for you listening & dancing pleasure. Bring your own drinks.

The holidays just seem to creep up on us faster each year, and this year is no exception. We are looking forward to this year’s Christmas party, don’t forget the we will again be having a gift exchange. If you would like to participate, each man should bring a man’s gift and each woman should bring a woman’s gift. Please limit the gifts to around $10.00 each. We will also be revealing this years “Secret Couples”.

We want to send out a wish for a speedy recovery to Priscilla Schuler, Paul Darnell and Al Graham, all three have had total knee replacements. I am sure they will be ready to ride come next riding season.

Roger and Sharon Black did a great job at their first meetings as ACD’s, don’t worry it gets easier!

We also want to welcome our newest members George and Linda Cvetan.

We also appreciate everyone bringing door prizes to this months meeting.

Paul's Corner

Hello All,
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, calls and cards while I have been recovering from my knee replacement. It sure is uplifting to know that friends take the time to let you know they are concerned and care. Thanks to all of you I truly appreciate.

I am about 3 weeks post-op and am doing OK, I am getting around with a cane again and am back in Physical Therapy and am working on building the leg muscles back up. The knee pain I was suffering from the accident is gone with the knee replacement, and I should be able to get full range of movement back with therapy.

As I am writing this Al Graham has gotten home from his surgery and is doing very well. He is about 1 week post-op and has started Physical Therapy as well. If you have a chance give him a call and let him know you are thinking about him.

Holley McCoy also had knee replacement surgery as well last week, I have not heard how he is doing yet, I hope and pray that he is doing well and I wish him a speedy recovery.

I want to thank Ronnie and Nancy for stepping in and helping Roger and Sharon Black out at our last chapter meeting. I was planning on being there but the Doctors have a way of breaking your plans. Thanks for taking care of the meeting for us, Linda and I appreciate it. Sorry for putting Roger & Sharon in that position being their first meeting as Assistant Chapter Directors.

We are looking forward to this years Christmas Party, I am sure the kids will have a great time at the kids

 party as well. We are going to have a live band after the dinner this year so it should be a really nice time. We will have a donation can setup to help offset the cost of the band and some of the expenses for the parties. This will probably be our biggest get together this year and I hope everyone will make an effort to make it out for the event.

Also we will need some help with decorating the Employees Club on Friday evening December 2nd. at about 6:30 PM. It doesn’t have to be fancy but we do want it to look like Christmas for the Kids. So if you have any decorations we can use, please bring them.
