There were 19 members in attendance
at our December 23rd gathering. I want to thank those in
attendance I know it isn’t easy to work in a meeting two days
before Christmas.
We are please to have our newest members at this months meeting
George and Linda Cvetan. George and Linda are from Athens and for
those that don’t know, Linda and Sharon Black are sisters.
I also want to thank everyone for their hard work and
contributions for our Adult and Kids Christmas parties. Everything
went extremely well and a good time was had by all, despite the
freezing rain.
We discussed Cabin Fever, February 10th—12th, 2006. We setup a
planning meeting to discuss what the chapter might want to do for
the event. The meeting will be at Roger and Sharon Blacks on
Wednesday, January 11th at 6:30 PM. Be thinking about what the
chapter might want to do. We will need to try to come up with
something different if we can.
Don’t forget to make your own reservations at the Holiday Inn at
Worthington, phone (614) 885-3334 and be sure to tell them you
want to make “In House Reservations”, if not you will be
transferred to the national Holiday Inn reservation center. And
they don’t know anything about the special GWRRA rate. The Cabin
Fever Registration form and payment needs to be submitted by
February 7th, 2006. |

We collected the ending mileage and
Rex Cunmings is this years winner of the highest mileage award.
Rex traveled a total of 9,500 miles during 2005. We also collected
the Ohio County maps and determined that Al Graham was the winner
of this years award for the most countries traveled, covering a
total of 44 of Ohio’s 88 counties. Al and Rex will receive an
award certificate for their efforts. We want to thank everyone
that participated in this years contests and we will be doing it
again in 2006. Anyone that would like to join in will need to
forward me their starting mileage as soon as possible.
We are pleased to announce that George and Linda Cvetan have
volunteered to be the Chapter couple of the year for 2006. We want
to thank Gary & JoAnn Wilford for being our Chapter couple in 2005
they carried on the tradition well, thanks Gary & Jo.
We also discussed the New Ohio Passport program that the State has
implemented for next year. We discussed the rules and the form
(orange cards) that will need to be filled out to participate and
the great awards that the State and District have agreed to
provide to the winners of the Passport drawings. The awards that
will be provided are free passes to either the Region D rally
(thanks Tom) and a free pass for either Cabin Fever or Buckeye
Rally. All three items will be given away with the winners
deciding which items they would like to receive. This will be a
good incentive to get the chapters to travel more within our
districts.
We collected 9 names of restaurants that members would like to
travel to for our dinner rides in 2006. We still need 10 more
places to visit so if you have any suggestions please let me or
Linda know. If you don’t help us determine where our dinner rides
are going too then I will fill them in with pizza places so get
those suggestions in soon… :-)

Hello All,
Linda and I want to thank everyone for
suspending their Christmas shopping for a while to attend the
December gathering. We know how hard it is to find the time to get
everything done you need to do, so we were extremely pleased with
the turnout for our first meeting as Chapter Directors.
I just want to remind everyone that the pictures of this years
Christmas Party are available on our web site. When you have a
chance, surf over to http://www.gwrra-ohioe3.org and check them
out. Also if you need any additional 2006 ride schedules they are
also available on the web site.
Please be thinking about what you would like to do for this years
Cabin Fever and bring it with you to the planning meeting at Roger
and Sharon’s Blacks. This years theme is Hawaiian Luau.
Linda & I want to wish each of you a Happy & Healthy New Year.
